1. 1Definitions

   • “Faseeh”, “the platform” or “we”: the Faseeh online language-learning platform and the people who operate it.
   • “User” or “you”: anyone who creates an account on the platform or uses it.
   • “Subscription”: the paid subscription that gives you access to the platform’s services for its term.
   • “Content”: the video lessons and their files, podcast episodes, reading texts, quizzes, writing exercises and everything else the platform publishes.

2. 2Our services

   Faseeh is an online platform that teaches languages to Arabic speakers, currently English and German. Its services include recorded courses organised by level, live voice conversation rooms, podcast episodes, writing exercises with instant AI feedback, and reading texts with comprehension quizzes.

   We add lessons and content over time, and we may develop, change or discontinue parts of the service, without reducing the core of what you subscribed to during your subscription.

   Writing feedback is automated and meant to help you learn. It can occasionally be wrong and is not an official assessment of your level. The platform does not award officially accredited certificates and does not guarantee that you will pass any exam or reach a given level in a given time; that depends on your commitment and practice.

3. 3Your account

   • You must be 18 or older to create an account yourself. If you are younger, a parent or guardian must agree to your registration and subscription and supervise your use of the platform.
   • You agree to give accurate information and keep it up to date, and to keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
   • Accounts are personal. You may not share yours or let more than one person use it, and we may suspend an account that is shared.

4. 4Subscription and payment

   • Your subscription starts as soon as your payment succeeds and lasts for its stated term, which for the monthly subscription is one month from activation.
   • The monthly subscription currently costs EGP 300. Prices are in Egyptian pounds, and the price and what it includes are shown clearly before you pay.
   • Payments are made online through the Kashier payment gateway. We never see or store your card details; Kashier processes them directly.
   • If you choose automatic renewal, your subscription renews at the end of each term and the price is charged to the same payment method. You can stop renewal at any time before it happens. If you do not choose it, your subscription simply ends at the end of its term.
   • We may change subscription prices. A change never applies to a term you have already paid for, and we will tell you at least 7 days before a new price applies to any renewal, so you can stop renewal if you wish.

5. 5Cancellation and refunds

   Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated, except in the cases set out in our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. 6Rules of use

   When you use the platform, you agree:

   • to treat learners and teachers with respect, and never to abuse, bully or harass anyone in any way;
   • not to post offensive, racist, indecent or unlawful content in the conversation rooms or anywhere else on the platform;
   • not to record, film or publish any part of a conversation room, and not to share any participant’s personal information;
   • not to use the rooms for advertising, selling or anything unrelated to learning a language;
   • not to download, copy, republish or sell the content, or make it available to people who are not subscribed;
   • not to try to break into or disrupt the platform, access anything you are not entitled to, scrape content with automated tools, or get around the daily limits of the services.

   A room’s host and the Faseeh team can mute any participant or remove them from a room, and you can report behaviour that breaks these rules from inside the room for us to review.

7. 7Service limits

   Some services have daily limits so they stay available at good quality for everyone, such as the number of writing corrections, currently 5 a day. The limits are shown in the platform, and we may change them with notice.

8. 8Intellectual property

   • All content on the platform, including the lessons, videos, files, texts, designs and the Faseeh name and logo, is owned by us or by those who licensed it to us, and is protected by Egypt’s Intellectual Property Rights Law No. 82 of 2002.
   • For as long as your subscription lasts, we grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own learning only. You may not use it commercially.
   • What you write in the writing exercises stays yours. You allow us to process it to correct it and provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. 9Suspending and closing accounts

   • You can ask us to delete your account at any time through our Contact page.
   • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, without refunding the rest of its term, and we keep our right to take legal action.
   • If we shut the platform down permanently for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the value of the remaining term of your subscription.

10. 10Limitation of liability

    • We work to keep the platform available and free of errors, but it may stop at times for maintenance or technical reasons, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
    • What participants say in conversation rooms is their own responsibility and does not represent Faseeh.
    • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage arising from using the platform or being unable to use it, and our liability to you never exceeds the price of the last subscription you paid for.

11. 11Force majeure

    We are not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, internet or power outages, failures of our service providers, or government decisions.

12. 12Changes to these terms

    We may update these terms from time to time and will post the updated version on this page with its date. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or inside the platform before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept it.

13. 13Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, after an attempt to settle it amicably. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018.

    If the Arabic and English texts of these terms or of the policies linked to them differ, the Arabic text prevails.
