1. 1Who is responsible for your data

   Faseeh is responsible for processing the personal data described in this policy. For any question or request about your data, reach us through our Contact page.

2. 2What we collect

   • Account data: your name, email address, phone number, your password (stored encrypted, so nobody can read it), when you accepted our terms, and your choice about marketing messages. Your name is visible to other signed-in users, including the people in your conversation rooms.
   • Learning data: your language and level, your placement test result, your progress through lessons, your quiz answers, what you write in writing exercises and the feedback on it, content you save, and how long you spend in conversation rooms.
   • Conversation room data: your voice is streamed live to the other people in the room and is never recorded. We keep when you joined and left, along with reports and moderation actions such as muting or removing someone, to keep participants safe.
   • Payment data: payments go through the Kashier payment gateway, so we never receive or store your card details. We keep only subscription and transaction details: the amount, date, payment status and reference number.
   • Technical data: the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and technical logs kept by our hosting providers, such as IP address and browser type, for security and to run the service.

3. 3Why we use it

   We use your data only to:

   • provide the service and run your account and subscription;
   • give automated feedback on your writing and show content that suits your level;
   • run the conversation rooms, keep participants safe and review reports;
   • process payments, manage subscriptions and prevent fraud;
   • contact you about your account, your subscription and the service;
   • send marketing messages about new lessons and features, only if you agreed to them, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time;
   • comply with the law and respond to requests from competent authorities.

   We do not sell your personal data or use it for anything not listed here. We process it on the basis of your consent, to perform our agreement with you and provide the service you subscribed to, and to meet our legal obligations.

4. 4Service providers we share data with

   We use the service providers below. Most of them process data only on our behalf and on our instructions, and may not use it for their own purposes; the Kashier payment gateway processes payment data under its own privacy policy and legal obligations:

   • Supabase: our database and sign-in, on servers we use in Germany.
   • Vercel: hosting the website.
   • LiveKit: running the voice conversation rooms.
   • Google (Gemini): automated feedback on writing. We send only the text of your exercise, without your name or contact details.
   • Bunny Stream: streaming lesson videos.
   • Kashier: processing payments.

   We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or at the request of a competent judicial or official authority.

5. 5Transfers outside Egypt

   Some of these providers are outside Egypt, so some of your data is stored or processed on servers in other countries, including the European Union and the United States. Because the platform cannot run without these transfers, we ask for your explicit consent to them when you create your account, and we transfer your data only to providers that offer an appropriate level of protection, in line with what the Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulations require.

6. 6How long we keep it

   We keep your data for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data, or remove anything in it that identifies you, within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep longer, such as records of financial transactions.

7. 7Your rights

   Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

   • know what data we hold about you, access it and get a copy;
   • correct, update or complete it;
   • ask us to delete it or restrict how we process it;
   • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing done before you withdrew it;
   • object to processing, and unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time;
   • be told of any breach affecting your personal data.

   To use any of these rights, reach us through our Contact page and we will answer within the time the law sets. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Center.

8. 8How we protect it

   We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypting the connection between your device and the platform, encrypting passwords, making each user’s data available only to that user inside our database, except their name, which other users can see, and limiting administrative access to a small part of our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, though, and if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the competent authorities as the law requires.

9. 9Children

   The platform is meant for adults. People under 18 may register only with a parent’s or guardian’s consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 15 without their guardian’s explicit consent, and we delete it if we learn we have.

10. 10Cookies

    We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect your account. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking tools.

11. 11Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with its date and tell you about any material change before it takes effect.
